HealthCare First NB was founded by Peter Phillips, a New Brunswick author and advocate whose commitment to healthcare reform is rooted in personal experience.

After witnessing first-hand the long ER waits, lack of accountability, and growing despair among patients and healthcare workers alike, Peter spent a year building NB Broken HealthCare — a movement that gave many New Brunswickers a unified voice for change.

HealthCare First | NB is the next step. A movement can raise awareness. A political party can force action. When it became clear that no existing party was willing to do the heavy lifting required to fix our healthcare system, Peter made the decision to build one that would.

HealthCare First NB is not a career politician's vehicle. It is a citizen-led effort to put healthcare at the top of New Brunswick's political agenda — and keep it there.
